Discovering that a teen is
using drugs or alcohol can be a scary experience for parents and caregivers. Many feel alone, ashamed, and confused about what to do next. Time to
Act! was created by the Partnership for a Drug-Free America (PDFA) It is a new
online resource to which parents can turn in the comfort of their own homes
for guidance and support. The site connects parents to leading experts and
parents who have confronted substance abuse in their families. The site is
the first to be developed specifically for parents concerned about their
teen¹s alcohol or drug use. It offers step-by-step advice for both parents
who suspect their child is using and those who already know their child is
using.
